Happy Halloween!!!

It was a spook-tacular night around here. Lots of trick or treating which meant lots of candy. And what a difference a year makes. Will walked up to each house and said trick or treat and thank you...as friendly and as polite as he could be...and Abby did the same. They were both so cute. It was precious to watch.

Maw-Maw and D-D made the annual trek to see us, the kids, and pass out candy. The kids were excited to have them here and loved the Halloween goodie bags they brought (thank you). Dad didn't last too long walking around so he became the official candy passer-outer (which is how it always goes) and we strolled in an hour or so later with buckets full, cold hands, and big smiles.

Some fun pics of the kids...

My little monster bros. They loooove these matching Mini Boden shirts. :)

Leather + Anti-bacterial Cleansers = Disaster

Here's what happened after we tried to clean our leather couch up after one of Sissy's coughing fits. Lovely huh? Brian's got his eye on some leather repair kit on Amazon.com. Big Jul--are you glad you have your couch back safe and sound? :)

Another fun Halloween Party!!

After two rounds of anti-biotic and a quick trip out of Jasper, Sissy was feeling much better by Saturday. I think we all had a raging case of cabin fever and were ready for some fun and sun and lucky for us...the McGowan Halloween Party was just the answer.

Will's little friend Colin (whom is in his preschool class) had a Halloween party on Saturday and it was tons of fun. Anne (his mom) went all out. Games for the kids, bounce houses, pinyatta (how do you spell that???), and lots of yummy food. We all had a great time and met some really nice people. Here are some pics from the party.

Bad Blogger!

Ideally, I would blog each time a blog worthy event occurred in our lives but something always seems to distract me. So, here I go...sitting down to 3 or 5 entries at one time. Oh well. It is better than no entries at all right. :)

I will with last week. It was a very LOOOOOONG week. I had blocked off Monday-Wednesday on our calendars a couple weeks prior so I could get my little girl potty trained. I woke up Monday prepared and ready to go. Needless to say, it was a very long day. We had one pee-pee in the potty, one accident in the floor, one in her bed, and one in her underwear (in that order). It started out so promising but by the end of the day my nerves were shot. Woke up Tuesday morning with the same determination but I sensed that she really wasn't having it plus she looked like she didn't feel good. By Tuesday afternoon around 1:00, she had been sitting on the potty for about 3 hours..on and off (I kid you not...she wouldn't get off)...and I called it quits. She felt really warm, looked pitiful, and was falling asleep on the potty. By Thursday morning, we were in the dr.'s office with a double ear infection and horrible cold. Her pediatrician told me to hang it up and try again in a couple weeks. For whatever reason, this girl does not want to use the potty and I don't know why. I am just going to keep trying...much to her dismay....because she is about to turn 3. It is time.

Our fun crazy life in pictures...

Meet my flower child. She faithfully wears this necklace around her head. It is so funny.

And the kids desire to be "monster bros" continuues. Will picked this shirt out.

Sissy being a little cheese hound. One of my favorite outfits on the diddy girl. Cute and comfy.

We had a wonderful visit on Friday from our St. John friends. It was such a treat to have them here. Abby is so crazy about her "Edie Bug" and I am crazy about my Jennifer. :)

Do you know anyone that would painstainkingly hold their leg up so the kids could go under "the bridge"? I do! (Sorry for posting this one Jennifer. It is just so cute.)

Saturday morning our dearest friends the T family came to visit us. We were all so excited to have them and we had such a nice day. The kids played and played and the adults talked and talked. It was a perfect day.

Look how big Baby Kyle is getting. I don't know how much longer I will be able to call him baby Kyle.

My sweet, photogenic Eli! He is such a doll!!!

Mr. T took a beating from Will and Eli. They had so much clobbering him. Poor guy.

Saturday evening, after the T's left, we went to the first annual Day Halloween party which was so fun. Brandi went all out. Will won the best costume contest and it made his entire night. He was soo excited. Sunday morning we tried a new church (feels like our never ending quest) and then lots of laying around. Will and Brian put on their matching Angry Birds shirts, played legos, and watched cartoons. The kids and I left around 3 for a birthday party (Brian stayed behind so he could catch up at work) and they had the best time. 2 bounces houses and lots of sweet treats makes for some very hiper, happy kids. It was fun for everyone.

A quick kodak moment with my little boy and then...

....the kids first bubble bath in the big bath tub. They had a ball and looked like two wrinkly grapes when I finally pulled them out.

A few cute pics from tonight...

Just wanted to share. I felt like they really captured the kids personality and spirit.

And my sometimes maternal sweet little girl, made Blue his very own "pic-a-nic" . He even had cupcakes.

Reunion fun...

I am so mad at myself for forgetting my camera this weekend. I had it sitting on the island and don't know how I missed it but I did. Sigh..

Brian had his 15 year class reunion this weekend so we packed up and headed to Bardstown. We had a great time and the kids had so much fun with Ney, Ethan, Eli, and Aunt Lee. They ate pizza and watched a movie while Brian and I feasted on Taco Bell at midnight....which proved to be a painful mistake the next day. Not to mention the donuts we threw on top of it the next morning. Our poor aging stomachs just can't do that anymore.

When we got home on Sunday, Brian tested out the riding mower for the first time. The kids were so excited to see it in action. The grass really looks good.

The rest of the week should be interesting and fun. I am going to work on potty training Sissy, mom is coming up for her first official sleep over in the bunk beds, and our best St. John friends are coming Friday followed by the Tafoya family on Saturday. I am getting so spoiled with all this fun and company. I love it!!!!

Hope your week is a good one.

Friday with the Rainwater's!

We have had lots of activity around here lately but one very speical treat was our first visit from the Rainwater's on Friday. Will was so excited to see A.J. and couldn't wait for Friday to get here and their visit did not disappoint. Will and AJ are the best of friends and have so much fun together...and of course...I love my time with Vicki. I knew I would cry when I saw her and of course I did. I miss all of my "old" friends so much and the time and distance away from them make has made me so grateful and appreciative of their friendship.

Here are some pics from our day. I hope you can feel the love and fun oozing from the pictures. :))

And poor Zach, he played so hard that we found him downstairs taking a little cat nap. So precious.

Our little "monster bros"

The kids are so into monster shirts right now. Luckily, mini boden always has lots to choose from....and their boy sizes go down to a 2/3 for Sissy. I bought them matching T-Rex shirts that are suppose to get here in a few weeks. They can't wait. Will affectionately refers to him and sissy as the "monster bros". They LOVE dressing alike.

Oh...and here's a sneak peak at their Halloween costumes. Sissy told me last night she wants to be a pink Power Ranger but fortunately today she was carried away with her cupcake costume.

Happy Birthday Big Jul!

We love you Big Jul! Here is a song just for you courtesy of Sissy!!

Look at Will....

and his missing tooth!!!! Can you believe my little boy lost his first tooth?!! I noticed it was loose a few weeks ago and while he was feasting on a sausage McGriddle (his favorite), it feel right out. He was so excited and so were we. My baby is growing up.
