Life at the Tot House...

So, life at the Taylor Tot house has been a little crazy. We have had 5 showings on the house so I feel like all I am doing is cleaning, putting away, or trying to keep the kids from driving each other crazy. With Brian splitting his time between here and Indiana, home life is just harder. The kids miss him and I miss him. It has been a very good reminder that we are no good unless we are all together. We function best when we are all together and I suppose that is how it should be.
So, with the 5 showings we have had one offer and there is only one word to describe it....Low Ball. They offered what we paid for the house minus our washer, dryer, and refrigerator. Come on..... We later learned that this particular couple has made LOTS of offers on several homes in our neighborhood and have low balled on every single offer. I suppose they are just going to keep going until they find someone desperate enough to accept. We've got another showing tomorrow. Maybe this is the one???
We have had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend. We went to a cook out down the street, had lunch with Lee, Ney, and the boys, bought an inflatable swimming pool and did a little swimming, had breakfast at the park, dinner on the river, and then feasted on a fan-tab-u-lous selection of Brian's finest grilling for dinner tonight. (And yes...all that meat was for our family of 4. Kind of embarassing but at least it gives us dinner all week long.)
This week Brian meets with the plumbing company down in Indiana to finalize the plans for the bathroom and wet bar rough-in in the basement of our new house. He also meets with the designer to make a few modifications to the master bathroom. We are really enjoying the house building process and can't wait to see them break ground this week.
Hope you had a wonderful 3 day weekend as well.
