Our weekend in pictures...
See if you can figure out what all we did this weekend.... Let's see how you did. Will has pink eye so couple pink eye with cold weather and you have a bunch of nothing. We've done nothing but stay inside, wash our hands a lot, and be lazy. Please say a little prayer that Sissy doesn't get it too. I can't imagine putting drops in the eyes of a squirmy, wormy 2 year old. (The dr. went ahead and gave me some eye drops for her while we were there....doesn't bode so well for Sissy...poor thing.) I'll keep you posted.

Our first t-ball practice and it was a.....
Hit!!! Literally and figuratively. Will did such a great job. He is pretty darn good at baseball. He bats well, throws well, and catches the ball well but even better....he loves it. It also helped tremendously that Eli Tafoya is on his team. He felt comfortable as soon as we got there. I just can't tell you how proud I am of this little boy. He has come so far. I don't know if it is just age (maturity), preschool, or what...but he has really come out of his shell, plays so well with other children, and really loves his friends. Two years ago when we signed him up for basketball, we couldn't even get him to go out on the court and tonight he ran right out on that field. Tears swelled in my eyes. It is so hard yet so neat watching your kids grow up.
I also wanted to give Brian some kudos for spending most of the weekend practicing with Will. He even got out there tonight...dress pants, shirt, and tie...and was right by his side helping him when he needed help and just constantly encouraging him. Brian is such an amazing dad and Will loves his involvement in his life. As we were putting Will to bed tonight he looked over at Brian and said, "Will you please please please come to my next t-ball game daddy?" I am not even sure why he even bothered asking because Brian wouldn't miss it for the world.
The only obstacle I for see with this whole t-ball experience will be 1. Will's need to do everything perfectly (thus strikes and outs will not be fun) and 2. my need to coach along side Brian. I suppose it is the teacher in me but it drives Brian nuts. I just can't help myself.

"Let the sun shine in, let the sun shine in...."
The words to a popular song and it couldn't depict any clearer how I've been feeling. This day is absolutely gorgeous and so very much welcomed. Bright sun, perfect temperature, slight cool breeze. So nice. Between Sissy's 3rd round of antibiotics for ear infections, a couple sleepless nights, and lots of rain....I can't express how nice it feels to have a warmer spring like day. Brian, Will, and I laid on the trampoline for an hour just soaking up the rays and had a lovely conversation to boot.
We also enjoyed Ney's (Brian's mom) company this week. She came to visit us on Wednesday and stayed until Friday morning. It was such a treat. We all enjoyed it. I got some desperately needed alone time, did a little shopping, and even had dinner with my hubby. Thank you Ney for your help and all the ways you make us feel loved.

Here are some recent pictures that I haven't had the opportunity to share. Some of my favorites. I will be back soon.

The T family...
I am so very thankful for the Tafoya family. I had no idea, nearly 5 years ago, that God would plant us across the street from 5 (then 3) wonderful, God-fearing people. Jen is like my sister and I don't know what I would do with out her. She helps me so much with the kids and gives me such wise scripture-based counsel. Her husband is such a kind man with a heart for God, for children, and his family. And their kids....I love them like they were my own. I have had the priviledge of watching them grow these past 5 years and they are growing into such fine young boys. You couldn't ask for kinder kids, better neighbors, or better friends. What a gift they are to me and my little family.
We had such a fun day with the T family today. We went to the arc at church and then stuffed ourselves at the Taylor family favorite all you can eat pizza buffet. It was so much fun. And let me tell you (once again) how wonderful our church is. We are so lucky to call **** our home. I just can't say enough about it. It is a church that God is at the center of and it is amazing to watch Him move in and outside of our building, with in our children, and in every one's lives. He is so very very alive and doing great things because of the leadership in our church and the people that love Him.
Our church has this wonderful indoor play area called Noah's Arc and it is such a blessing. It costs nothing to go and promises hours of fun. There is a place to eat downstairs if you want to pack a lunch and even a little arcade with FREE games...yes free games. (Is there anything anymore that is free?) I love our church for so many reasons and my kids love our church as well which means more than you know.

Long time no blog...
I apologize that it has been so long since I have updated my blog. A wave of sickness hit the Taylor clan and we spent a week just trying to recoup and get better. So...let's see....here's all the updates I can think of since my last blog post....
1. Big Jule has finally returned home from his hiatus in Florida. Poor guy has to spend the winters down there. We all feel sorry for him. :) However, we are happy that he is home safe and sound.
2. My parents came up for a visit two weekends ago. We had such a nice time but the trip was cut a little short when Will woke up vomiting. Needless to say, they got out of here pretty fast.
3. We celebrated Ney's 63rd birthday last weekend. Happy Birthday Ney!!! We had a very nice visit and had planned on staying the night but with Sissy's double ear infection and all of us still fighting whatever bugs we had, we decided to come home. We are going to try again in a couple weeks.
4. Sissy's new found phrase is "no sure". It goes something like this, "Sissy...you need to get down." Sissy replies, "no sure momma". It is so funny and cute. She is such a mess.
5. We had a wonderful visit with our Rainwater family this week. Will and A.J. are the best of friends and love hanging out together. It is always such a treat to be with them.
It has been a nice weekend thus far. Everyone finally feels good and is enjoying a nice relaxing weekend around the house. Tomorrow we are going to head to McDonalds for breakfast and check out all the flooding downtown.
Hope yours is a good one as well.
