Wow! I didn't realize that it's been 17 days since I have updated my blog. I need to get back in the swing of things. There just really hasn't been much to blog about. After the new year, we got back in our routine and nothing new or exciting has been going on since. So, there's my excuse...now let's see if I can come up with a few blog worth tid bits.
Will is now enrolled in kindergarten. His preschool offers a kindergarten program and I am thrilled to be able to use it. I think he will love it and it will be a nice transition for him leading up to his "home" school the following year. I also learned that his best friend is going to be in his class as well so Will is thrilled.
Sissy is...well...just sissy. Cute and spunky as ever. She goes 90 miles an hour all day long and has become so friendly and chatty. This is such a cute age.
As for me, I am just busy being a momma. I've got a couple nodules on my lymph nodes that I may need to get removed in the near future but for now we are just going to keep watch over them. It is always a little unnerving when something less than ordinary is going on with your body....especially when you have two very young children. It is a good reality check about who is really in control in your life.
We are implementing a new social activity in our calendar every week. It is called "family night". It is where we, as a family, do something together...something intentional...that is fun and involves all of us. So many nights we end up playing the Wii together but that leaves Sissy out. So, we are trying to do more inclusive activities together so our "pretty gurl" can be part of the action. Sunday night was our first official family night so we got some Chinese take out, rented "Despicable Me", made a camp out in the living room, and all watched the movie together. Brian got lots of pillows and a big soft blanket...spread them out on the living room floor...and we had a big ol' time. The kids loved it...and we did too. I love my little family.
Here are some recent pics of the kiddos and of our camp out.
