Just to make myself feel better, I tried a couple spring outfits on my little Diddy. She loved them and was such a ham. I couldn't help but take her picture. I think she is ready for summer too...and maybe a tan. wink wink :)))))

Winter Blues...
Everyday when I open Sissy's closet, I see all of her spring/summer stuff stored neatly in a crate at the bottom of her closet and everyday I think about how ready I am for bright colors, little sun dresses, the warm sun, sand between our toes, jumping on the trampoline,.... Why does winter seem to last so long.
Love after all...
So for 2 snows now Will has insisted that he doesn't like the snow and it is too cold to play outside. Here in this house sat a pair of snow bibs and snow boots.....untouched....in perfect condition because my little boy refused to go out in the snow. Until Friday....
Will finally realized that snow is fun. It is fun to throw snowballs, make tracks in the snow, and chase Sissy around. Of course, Abby had no reservations about the snow from the get-go but it is so much more fun when she has Bubba along side her. I was so happy Will changed his mind about the snow and got to do something new and different.
So, here are some pictures of our snowy adventure.

Poor little blog
Wow! I didn't realize that it's been 17 days since I have updated my blog. I need to get back in the swing of things. There just really hasn't been much to blog about. After the new year, we got back in our routine and nothing new or exciting has been going on since. So, there's my excuse...now let's see if I can come up with a few blog worth tid bits.
Will is now enrolled in kindergarten. His preschool offers a kindergarten program and I am thrilled to be able to use it. I think he will love it and it will be a nice transition for him leading up to his "home" school the following year. I also learned that his best friend is going to be in his class as well so Will is thrilled.
Sissy is...well...just sissy. Cute and spunky as ever. She goes 90 miles an hour all day long and has become so friendly and chatty. This is such a cute age.
As for me, I am just busy being a momma. I've got a couple nodules on my lymph nodes that I may need to get removed in the near future but for now we are just going to keep watch over them. It is always a little unnerving when something less than ordinary is going on with your body....especially when you have two very young children. It is a good reality check about who is really in control in your life.
We are implementing a new social activity in our calendar every week. It is called "family night". It is where we, as a family, do something together...something intentional...that is fun and involves all of us. So many nights we end up playing the Wii together but that leaves Sissy out. So, we are trying to do more inclusive activities together so our "pretty gurl" can be part of the action. Sunday night was our first official family night so we got some Chinese take out, rented "Despicable Me", made a camp out in the living room, and all watched the movie together. Brian got lots of pillows and a big soft blanket...spread them out on the living room floor...and we had a big ol' time. The kids loved it...and we did too. I love my little family.
Here are some recent pics of the kiddos and of our camp out.

Happy New Year!!!

Having fun at the mall
A perfect match!
My little cutie!
Out for some New Year's celebratory ice cream.
My kids!!
What a big year 2010 was for us! I look back at my blog and think back to all the great memories we made and shared. I said a little prayer of thanksgiving for all of our blessings and a prayer of hope that we are all (our family and extended family) together again at the end of 2011. There is so much hope in life. Words can't describe how blessed I feel to have a family such as mine and yet it also makes me feel so vulnerable as well. Here are some pics from the past few days. We have had a stint of beautiful weather so there's been lots of playing outside and our course...lots of talking to batman.
Happy New Year!!
