Will had school pictures today so I thought I would snap a few myself. Our babies are growing up.

What we've been up to the past 5 days...
Growing some grass!! We will have to reseed a few places because we have had soo much rain.
It so so nice to finally see some green. Growing grass in not for the faint hearted.
My little girl acting cute and sassy so I snapped a picture. She is getting so big.
The kids have been so sweet and cuddly lately. They call each other "best friend".
Brian installed some shelving in the garage. A special thank you to Big Jul this weekend with his help in moving the washer and dryer and letting us borrow his couch for several months.

Crazy Busy..
My poor blog sure is feeling a little left out of the action...as I am sure the people that read it do too. I have just been so busy. Crazy Busy. Too busy really for my taste. With all the unpacking, sorting, and organizing....plus trying to keep the house neat and clean...plus trying to get the kids out and around other kids.....my days are so consumed. I am so exhausted by the end of the evening that I don't even want to get on the computer. I know...complete shocker!!
So, we are pretty much settled in the house. We have about 2-3 more boxes to unpack but it is all office stuff and that is Brian's domain. I have unpacked all the rest and have done my best to find appropriate homes for all of our belongings because, like I said, my focus has been to live life more focused and organized. I'll let you know how that works out...long term. :) So far so good.
This week we drove to my home town and purchased an entertainment center at Sam's Club (Brian's favorite place) and a leather recliner off of Craigs List. My dad came up yesterday to deliver the entertainment center and together we executed a perfect delivery and set-up of that big boy piece of furniture. It was super HEAVY but with the ramps my dad brought plus some cardobard and a blanket....we successfully got it in the living room with out one hurt back, bump, or bruise. Perfection on the moving scene....which makes up for all the dings in our walls from our other not so perfect executions.
I also wanted to show you a picture of the duvet cover and pillow cases my mom made for Abby's room. She did such a fabulous job on it. Brian and I were so impressed. She is working on the valance to go in her room now and with a few extra accessories, Sissy will be set. She loves her big girl bed/room (though she still asks daily if daddy will paint her room pink. I think he is slowly giving in). Thanks Maw-Maw for sharing your time and talents with us.
We've got a rug (bounded carpet) in the making and it should be completed next week. It is really the missing piece in the living room. We had ordered one from overstock.com but it was wool and shed oh so bad and made me sneeze something fierce. Fortunately, there were also some massive thread pulls so they paid to ship it back. What a relief because the mess from the shedding coupled with me sneezing every 5 minutes when I sat on it to play with the kids, was more than I could stand. I did a happy dance when I called overstock and they were so accomodating. **Highly recommend them**
Oh...and we have grass!!!! They came and leveled, seeded, and laid straw down all over the yard on Friday and look what has started growing!!! Mother nature has been on our side with good amounts of rain and sun. So exciting to see green!!!
I think that about sums it up. We have a preschool friend coming over this morning to play so I had better get the kids fed and ready. Hope your weekend is a good one. Peggy and Dave came last weekend and Big Jul is coming this weekend. The kids are loving all the family and friends visits.

Finally Connected!!
So happy to be back on the blogging front. We have beeen with out phone, cable, and internet for 2 weeks now and it is so nice to be connected again. So, we survived the big move. Moving to me is kind of like having a newborn. While you are in the midst of it, you think never again...but then you forget....and you do it again. Inspite of our achy feet, backs, and never ending to-do list, we love the house and couldn't be happier to be in our home. Will loves his bunk beds and Sissy is in her very own big girl bed (though she insisted for the first two days that her big girl bed was the blue twin air mattress she has been sleeping on). We are all sleeping like babies in our own beds and the kids love having all of their toys back. We worked in the basement all afternoon so my brain feels like mush. I promise to post a blog worthy update in the next day or two. Here are a few pics to sustain you until then..

Update...
I see this ol' blog is in need of an update but I just don't have much to update it with. Let's see...we have the final walk through on the house next Wednesday and we should close by Friday. The movers will be here Thursday, September 15th and then we will fianlly be settled in our new home. We are so ready to get settled...planted...in our new resting place. So ready to make it a home. Fill it with little voices, pattering feet, toys, life, love. It already feels so warm and inviting with nothing in it. I can only imagine what it will feel like once we are moved in. We are so excited and so pleased with how it turned out. Yea!!!
Will is enjoying preschool. His teachers are so super sweet and he is starting to make some friends. Sissy cries every time when we drop him off. She wants so much to stay and play with him. However, all I have to do is mention Rio and she instantly perks up is ok with going back home. The girl LOOOVES the movie "Rio".
I have made several very nice friends...Dana, Carla, Molly, and Brandy. They have all been so warm and welcoming...inviting us into their homes...fixed or offered to fix meals for us. I am so grateful for their thoughtfulness and hospitality.
I think that about sums it up. Looking forward to my family reunion this weekend and some fun time with friends. Hope yours is a good one as well.
