Some of my favorites

I took these yesterday and thought I would share. I got so tickled with the last picture....by her face you can guess what she was doing. Those prunes will do it every time.

Family Fun

Well, we sure had a wonderful time visiting my parents this past weekend. Everyone got lots of attention (including me) and it was so nice to just sit back and relax. I feel so fortunate to have the parents I do. I love the way they love me and our children. They have a uniquely, wonderful way of making you feel so special.
So, while me and the kids were relaxing and eating lots of yummy food, Brian was here slaving away painting his little heart out. He worked so hard and it sure shows. The house looks fantastic...clean, bright, and new. What a hubby!
PS...We did a lot of dancing this weekend so I thought I would share a quick clip of Will cutting a rug. I think he has some talent. I was also pretty impressed with my mom's dancing skills as well. She can really move (though she wouldn't let us get her on video).
Stuffed shells for dinner tonight. MMMMmmmm.

What's on my heart...

Thank you Lord for being my saviour.....in so many ways.

Weekend Wrap Up

Well, we sure had a nice visit with Maw-Mo and D-D (my parents) on Saturday and Sunday. Will played his little heart out and they actually got to spend some quality time with Sissy. Abby is really starting to come around and developing such a sweet personality. She still remains a fierce momma's girl but will finally let some other people enjoy her as well. Finally.

Not much more news to report. I will be making a trip back home on Friday and staying all weekend so Brian can get some much needed painting done. In the mean time, I am going to prepare for lots of wet weather, packing, and running around. I am looking forward to the trip home.....the help with the kids...and to just be taken care of for a while. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
(Only in Kentucky can you find a picture of a mom sitting in a camouflage hat on the side of her blow up pool in the back yard. Classic.)

Will and his four wheeler

Will is having so much fun with his new four wheeler and doing a great job maneuvering it. He's just like his Uncle Matt but hopefully the closest he will ever get to a "real one' is the blue, battery powered one sitting in our drive way :)) Sorry Uncle Matt.
Thanks D-D for the super fun ride :)

Blog Neglect

Wow...It has been a week since my last posting. I'm going to have to back track on this one. Let's see if I can remember everything I wanted to share from last week.

We finished this past week with my last two tutoring sessions, a trip to Kazoing (another indoor play space with inflatables), a trip to the fire station, a visit from Ney (Brian's mom), a visit from Veda (my dear friend from Lexington), and some not-so-successful E-bay activity (more on that one in a minute). It was a busy week but a fun one at that. This week has left me a little dumbfounded. I have nothing...and I mean nothing written on the calendar. A play date just got scheduled this afternoon for tomorrow but other than that, it will be a very quiet (almost too quiet) week. I am half way thinking about sneaking in a trip to Lexington. Hmmm...we will have to see about that one.

Now for the E-bay segment of my post. If you recall, I bought a bunch of toys at Target on the clearance rack a couple weeks ago and had a grandiose plan to resell them on E-bay for what I was hoping would be triple the cost. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out as I had planned. I estimated my shipping costs too low and after E-bay fees and Paypal fees....I will barely break even and will in fact lose money on one toy. I was so disappointed. No bidding wars, no big dollars, no nothing. I went out backwards. Perhaps this is what I get for being greedy. :(((((( On the positive side, I did learn a lot and will do things differently next time.....if there is a next time. I'm not sure I want to try it again. I'll have to think about it for a while. I've had enough excitement for a while...perhaps my very empty calendar isn't so bad after all. :p

Family Fun Day

Here are some pictures from our fantastic family day. The kids had a blast. Will flew his helicopter at Big Jule's, visited his great grandmother "E", swam with his cousins at Ney's, had an ice cream sundae party, played with silly string, bubbles, and blocks. It was such a big time. Thank you Ney and Big Jule for making Will and Abby (and me) feel so special.

Weekend Recap..

Let's see--the highlights of our weekend--definetly date night Saturday night. It was our turn to go out for the monthly child care swap and we had been looking forward to Saturday night all week. Brian was out of town Wednesday-Friday so I was more than ready for some time with just him by myself. It is such a treat to go and have dinner together...to be waited on...to talk uninterruptedly...to just be together. Ahh.....I am already looking forward to the end of the month so we can go again. So nice.
After our date we went to Lowes (yes, Lowes :), and bought some stuff to finally rid ourselves of the pesky mole that is reeking havoc in our yard. The less extreme (didn't work worth a hoot), sonic noise type sticks we put in the yard didn't do a thing so now we are on to poisonous fake worms. To be continued.
Today, was spent at the grocery, playing outside, and then eating a very fabulous dinner that my hunky hubby prepared for me (well.....also for himself) tonight. It was certainly a man's meal but oh so very good. Take a look......his wings could rival Hooters any day of the week. Mmmm.mmmm.

Off to **** tomorrow for fun with Ney and the cousins. Pictures to soon follow.
